Our horses | Odina
Odina was born on August 30, 1996. When we bought her she was 4 years old and pregnant from Wodan. Odina's mother was Inomia and the father was unknown. Considering the external show marks they are also from the KWPN studbook. Odina is the weize you go to when you need advice. In the behavior you would initially think that she is not the leader, but that is a mistake. She is a horse who is the driving force in the herd and ensures that everything goes well. She likes to lead the way and shows what the route is. Odina is super nice to work with and always reacts to your inner status, that's what she looks at and she reacts to. She wants to be understood and if not, she will take distances and ignore what is being asked.
Understand the character
10 horses, 10 different characters. Understanding the character will determine how you will progress with your horse and how your personal development will go. In a lot of cases the horse is wrongly justified and not recognized. The horse will sense it and will close himself, and sometimes close for ever.

Wodan was born on September 1st, 2013. The mother is Odina and the father is Gastal. Both horses come from the lines of the KWPN studbook. Wodan was born and raised with us. He is a horse with a uncomplex and youthful character, he is honest and makes clear what he does and does not want. He does not want to be surrounded by ambiguity, fear or uncertainty. Even if he is not approached with respect, he will show this. His signals are very clear and can be harsh. But once you have found the right balance with him, so also balance in yourself, you can work well with him. Versus the other horses he is a real gentlemen. He is super enthusiastic but will always approach them with due respect. In case of trouble he is the protector of the flock, even the sheep take shelter with him when there is trouble.
Respect the freedom
To see how a horse runs freely in the wild is a picture that a lot of people love. Even in the limited environments where horses live these days. Try to give that room to them, not only on a physical level but definitely also on a mental level.
The goal is the journey
The horse lives only in the present time, not tomorrow, not yesterday. The only thing that matters is what happens today. How do you feel today and what does fit with that feeling to work with your horse. Sometimes just doing nothing, just sit in the paddock and watch.
